This is a part-time, on-call weekend and holiday position that services victims and survivors of sexual assault in Madison, St. Clair, Randolph, and Monroe Counties. Ideal candidates must demonstrate knowledge of sexual assault, possess crisis intervention skills, understand the concept of boundaries with clients, and have experience in conflict resolution.
DUTIES

Assist survivors in developing short term safety plans

Provide in-person crisis counseling at hospitals, jails/prisons, and or police stations

Travel throughout the Metro-East to meet with and comfort survivors
QUALIFICATIONS

Must be available two to three weekends a month from Friday at 4:30 PM until Monday morning at 8:30 AM

Must be available at minimum 5 holidays a year

Possess the ability to maintain client confidentiality

Must be able to work with diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Possess a valid Driver’s License and auto insurance

Clean criminal history and background

Must have reliable transportation

As a new hire, crisis workers will complete 40 hours of sexual assault training approved by the Illinois Coalition Against Sexual Assault
