East St. Louis, Illinois—January 30, 2008—Call For Help, Inc. announces blankets and space heaters are available for low income families in Call For Help’s service area, which includes St. Clair, Madison, Randolph, and Monroe Counties in Illinois.

The blankets and space heaters for low-income families will be given away on Friday, February 15, 2008 at Call For Help’s main office at 9400 Lebanon Road, Edgemont.  Appointments must be made and will be taken from February 11-15, 2008 by calling 618-397-0996.  NO WALK-INS. Proper documentation is required and includes: Illinois State ID or Driver’s License, Proof of Income (30 days), Medical Card and Doctor’s Statement (if required).  Individuals and families must meet the definition of low-income as defined by the State of Illinois (e.g. family of four’s monthly income can not exceed $2,015.67 gross).  Preference is given to families with children under 11 or adults over 60 (proof of age is required).

The blankets and space heaters were purchased with a grant from AmerenCIPS Energy Plus Program.
