Essential Needs/Information & Referral
Families and individuals in poverty may be unable to pay for rent, utilities and other essentials. Call for Help can connect them with community resources to meet these basic needs – and may prevent them from losing their homes or being evicted. Success Story
Dorothy (not actual name) was behind over a thousand dollars in utility payments. Her son requires use of a nebulizer machine to dispense his medication through his breathing, and if it were turned off his life would be threatened. Call for Help assisted her in filing a medical affidavit with the utility company to maintain service. Call for Help also paid six months of her past-due utility payments.
