Illinois Lt. Gov. Sheila Simon, Call for Help Join to Support Adult Live Entertainment Tax




Illinois Lt. Gov. Sheila Simon, center, and Call for Help held a joint press conference on March 29 to express support for SB3348, the Adult Live Entertainment tax. This tax would generate needed funds for rape crisis centers across Illinois. Also speaking at the news conference were Sexual Assault Victims Care Unit Program Director Mindy Stratmann, left, and Executive Director Cheryl Compton.

The Call for Help Sexual Assault Victims Care Unit offers assistance to victims of sexual assault 24 hours a day, seven days a week. In the aftermath of assault, advocacy and support are provided to victims at the hospital or police station. Counseling and therapy are available to adult and child victims.
