Crisis Services Program Re-Accredited
The American Association of Suicidology has renewed its accreditation of Call for Help’s Crisis Services program for five years. Examiners from AAS visited Call for Help on May 16. Based in Washington, D.C., the AAS promotes research, public awareness programs, public education and training for professionals and volunteers to help understand and prevent suicide.
Wrote the AAS project examiner, “It was a pleasure reviewing and evaluating Call for Help, Inc. It is evident the staff of this agency is working diligently and hard to provide a high quality of service.”
The Crisis Service program provides a 24-hour suicide and crisis hotline along with short-term in-person counseling and a Survivors of Suicide support group.
